Hi, I bought a used key fob with a pre-cut key. I ordered a blank key from an ebay seller and the locksmith said it wont work. So i am now back looking for a blank key. i should have spent the additional $13 and bought the fob from Bell Lexus it has a blank key. Any ideas?

 

as far as I know, the "used" fob will work, but the dealership has to have all your keys and has to erase all of them from the car and reprogram them to the car..

you can't add a used fob to another car without first wiping all the keys from the vehicle ECU.


at least this is how I understood it to work. might check with a local dealership.

sorry i wasn't clear. i have programmed the fob after erasing prior keys. Now i need the Blank blade key for emergency fob failer.
