What is your opinion on the 2009 Jaguar XF Premium Luxury 4dr Sedan? Really like the exterior of the car. Interior looks very decent. How is reliability? Car interior and exterior is 8/10.

 

If you want general impressions from someone who has never owned one, I would say I'd avoid. I got a certificate for either a free set of Callaway golf clubs if I buy a Jaguar, or a free White Ice Odyssey putter if I test drive an XJ, so I went to the dealer to get the offer validated for the putter. They were truly the rudest encounter I have had with respect to cars, and yes, I did get the putter shipped to me. I know my buddy had a 2004 XJ that had the tranny go, and it was the end of the car, too expensive to repair. Also, I signed up for a driving event, we got there, and they canceled it and gave us cheesy hats and 64mb (not a typo) USB flash drives to take home.

I have never owned one but a friend at my office had one a while back and I personally drove him to the dealership 4 times in 6 months to get repairs done.....

While they may be attractive from an exterior viewpoint, the Jags really suffer on reliability.... All depends on where you want to invest your time and dollars...
