Default Which Car/SUV has interior ambient lighting?

Hi all,

A couple of weeks ago while shopping for a car test drove the X5 and found it had a really cool interior ambient lighting feature, and it was not limited to just one color, blue, orange and white were all adjustable with brightness etc. Really liked this and was wondering if any other car or suv has this feature.

Too many to name.

You get it in the opposite ends of the price spectrum. Cheap cars go quirky, and luxury cars offer it like it's special.

Examples:

Kia Soul

Lincoln MKZ

MB S-Class

"Cheapest" car I can think of is the 2014 smart fortwo where it's a stand-alone option. (footwells, glovebox, driver's side dash storage cubbies). Otherwise as Philip says, it's available across the spectrum.

Not a fan of some of these. When they shine down on a non-control surface area with no buttons it's okay. But when they shine down on areas you need to see and operate, the ambient lighting washes out the lights on the buttons themselves, making it harder to spot. It counters the ergonomic benefits of having a lighted button.
I've also never understood the concept of lighting up your shoes while you drive. Maybe some of the rich get off on that, I don't know. I'll stick to my Vans and Nikes.

Sometimes, the ambient light is only there to impress.
