Ground Wire On Tranny? B1S1 Issues.....
When I bought the car I knew It had the P0134 code since i brought my scanner. I told the the dealership that they would have to replace it and they agreed. That was 3 months ago, but I also saw in the service history that just before the PO sold the car the dealer supposedly changed this sensor back in December 16. Could this sensor have gone bad that quick? I highly doubt it, just like I doubt the used car dealer I purchased from changed the sensor again. I believe they just cleared the code. The puzzling thing is that WHOEVER changed the sensor last did a hack job by cutting open the harness side that leads to the ECU. I don't see why they would do this since the actual sensor that's in there is plug and play. Plus they did not put the harness back in it's proper place since it was basically sitting on top of the back of the oil pan!!! I checked the sensor operation in techstream before I went under the car and it seemed lazy but would jump up slightly when I revved the car but after I went under there and wiggled the harness around the sensor is showing no activity. Another thing is that techstream says the sensor failed but the heater circuit passed. I will pull the car up on ramps a little later to investigate the harness more but it's hard to see all the way up to when the wires end because my face is already so close to the subframe.
Second issue is that there is what looked like a ground strap bolted onto the tranny that was hanging loose and I'm trying to figure out where the other end is supposed go. The first 2 pics are the strap and the last 3 are the connector. I'll try to get some better ones later.

I covered the wires some harness loom I had and wiggled them around. When I hooked up techstream I got a P0133( Circuit slow to respond). The sensor is working properly when I viewed the live data so I can only surmise it has something to do with the harness, I also wonder what effect the loose ground strap plays in all this, It's too close to be a coincidence IMO.
