Default Looking to buy

I'm new to the forum, and new to Lexus. I have the opportunity to buy a 2002 LS430 Ultra Luxury package, 140,000 miles. Car has service records from dealership and is up to date on current maintenance. Seller is asking $7000, I would like some feedback.

Without knowing more about it, $7k doesn't sound unreasonable. I wouldn't worry about 140k if it's been serviced. My '04 had a 135k and it was in great shape with no mechanical issues at all. 200k+ miles is very doable on a maintained LS.

Sounds as if it's a good car at a good price. Get an Independent checkout by a certified mechanic first, though.

Beware the ultra luxury model. The air suspension is a big ticket item to fix if it goes.

Sounds like a great deal if you want/need all the extra bells/whistles and associated repair costs that go with the UL line. If you're looking for cheap to own, might want to avoid this one. But if you can afford it, then sounds like a sweet deal.

The difference between the baseline LS430 and the LS430 UL is all about wants and needs. A person absolutely WANTS that luxury and knows he will NEED to pay for it and the expanses that come with it.

Yes, the more you have the more it takes to keep it up.
