SHAME on Lexus. Rant
I purchased the updated maps for the nav system. I know they are expensive but for me I found it very worth while. I use the car for extensive business travel and find the nav system easy to use and very easy to follow. It much easier to use and follow that the nav in my previous car (E class coupe).
Ok the display is not sharp like a modern one but it really does not get in the way of helping to get anywhere I need to go in Europe.

I agree with Mikaelse. Would prefer not to have that screen. As fast as tech changes it's obsolete after about the first year, but you're stuck with it. Much better to add your own phone/GPS that better suits your needs and almost any GPS comes with lifetime map updates.
I am looking at 04-06s right now online. There is one that's well documented and looks excellent condition. (driver seat very little wear) going for 12k.is that high or fair asking price? I will hold out until I find a good one that I am pleased with and has low mileage.Though I will make exceptions if the price is right.
