I thought I had purchased a perfect 04 LS-430. Only the maps in the GPS needed replacing, and I found the CD for $10, good deal......But several days out I found a problem I had missed.

If I get into the driver side it all looks good including the gold logos on the hubs. But getting in on the passenger side....I discovered the the two hub logos are chrome...ooops!

Dealer says they are not available. Ebay shows some but usually for 330 or 400, not the 430. And not cheap......

Where is a good source?

You might consider having them plated. I did that years ago after I purchased my UL that thad the gold package. I got an excellent job done pm all 4 caps for a total of $125.

Can the chrome be plated directly or do they need preparation to accept the plating?.

I am not sure which wheels you have but you might want to give ebay another look. I searched for LS430 gold center cap and found several. Seem to be about $30 to $35 each. Also, try switching all four to chrome. The chrome run about $55 for a set of four.

I always have a couple of spare ones stockpiled on the shelf. With two sets of 17 inch OEM rims (winter and summer), they seem to break despite the best efforts of the guys at Discount Tire. Not a big deal.

Good idea, I could sell the two gold ones for enough to buy four chrome ones!!
