changed oil and put summers on and hate to say
I think the indie crushed my pinch welds in the rear. I can't be 100% sure, just that I think I would have noticed when I put the snow tires on. Life goes on.
This is why I don't bring my BMW to a muffler shop etc. Endless stories on the forum of the jack pad adapters getting crushed. They're a PITA to replace, I did it one time. My uncle having managed various shops says techs are really lazy about using the correct adapter when they lift, even though it only takes a minute. I caught a muffler shop stone cold lifting my wife's SUV with the plastic pushed in--when I brought it to their attention, the mgr. really regretted walking me back to the shop.
It just begs the question, who treats your car like you do (rhetorical).
Anyway, new oil (pennzoil platinum with WIX HP) and summer tires are on--I really like the 18" OEMs way better than my MSW 17's with the snows!
p.s. I cannot believe what a hard time I had resetting the maint reminder last Fall. It's so easy--get rid of trip a or trip b. From the off position, hold the reset button, and turn ignition on. I couldn't grasp it last year! Maybe I didn't hold reset long enough....

You'll have to share a few photos. Not sure what you're referring to. Is this on the suspension?

I've had shops crush the pinch welds on other cars I've owned. The tech couldn't figure out why I was upset but they had a body guy straighten them out and comped my oil change. This is one of the many reasons I do all of my own work now. If it's the rear in its usually not an issue but if the front pinch weld gets damaged it can affect the alignment of the lower fender to the door.

Oh, we're talking about the seam under the rocker panel. Now I got it...
