Default DIY For Removing C Pillar?

Has anyone removed the C pillar before? I noticed some really old water stains on the C pillar trim, and wanted to see if there's a leak behind it, possibly replacing the pillar trim too while I'm at it. When I replaced the sub, I never completely undid the rear dash trim, didn't get a chance to look at the C pillar either. I might just get a trim tool and try to pry it.

Any help is appreciated.

It's not much help, but here's an illustration of the interior trim from the manual

  1. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear seat side garnish.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
  •
    1. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.

This is the best I could find in the manual. Usually RKW will have a much better schematic and illustrations.

Thanks. I figured it involved removing the rear seats. Sigh...

BUT...I did conclude there wasn't a leak, and it's probably the previous owner forgetting to close the sunroof.

That's good news. Hopefully no permanent damage from the sunroof being left open..

Yep not fun, I've had to remove the whole back of my interior a few times when I had to run wires for the headunit and replace my rear air shock. The UL is built like a tank with everything they have back there.
