Default New LS 430 2006

Hey people CJ from Minnesota I was fortunate to purchase my wife's uncles LS 430 with a whopping 23,700 miles ! Yes I'm not leaving out a zero . Pearl white with light tan leather sticker was $68,419 seams like it might everything and yes it looks as if it just rolled off the truck. The only thing I really do not like is the factory chrome wheels I feel it dates the car a bit.I have been a car guy for a looooong time and I'm looking to purchase some newer style muti spoked rims 18s are just fine any body have any recommendations ? Thanks,CJ.

Welcome aboard CJ. That's almost a record for the mileage. We do have a number of members with low mileage cars. My 2005 just turned 53K, but I don't think there are too many cars with that kind of mileage.

There are a boat load of great threads discussing the wheel options on these cars, so feel free to read through those. I'm partial to 5 spoke wheels, myself...

Thanks ! I'm really looking for a muli spoked maybe in gun metal seems a lot of new higher end cars run them in just about ever model series. Looks like you're from the country just to the east of "The land of 10,000 Taxes" . CJ.

Yeah, and just north of the other "Land of 10,000 taxes".

There are some good looking multi-spoke wheels on the market. FWIW, Tirerack.com has a handful of wheels that are pretty good looking. I've also looked at carid.com and of course Amazon.

I'm sure you'll find something that will suit your needs. There are plenty of options out there,

OH YEAH BABE!!

That's my car's twin brother, very nice....moonlight with cashmere. Lemme check my spare to see if says 432, it has the markings too......

Unfortunately I'm at 87k, so I've got some scrapes on the front bumper, but it was a FLA car for 8 yrs. so I hope I'm ahead of a northeast car on preventing corrosion...congrats!

edit my wheel has a different number looks like 895

on your rim question I know that 42mm and above is recommended for offset, that there is a rubbing warning too, so I'm not a fan of aftermarket...I have 17's for the snow tires and they do have a 45 mm offset, but seems the 18's only rarely have such an offset....

p.s. with a 68k sticker, maybe you have a CL? Does it have soft close doors or laser cruise? And it's ecru not cashmere, the build sheet would say...

p.p.s. I see your headlamp washers, you do have a CL....

No snow all went east and south thank god. Yes mine does have laser cruise ,,, what is a CL ? And yes my wheels look new just like the rest of the car. The thing is the more I look at those bid chrome 5 spokes I really think any others will look off ?

the packages went ML, CL, UL, for modern, custom, ultra luxury....you would have laminated side glass too...I believe the ML listed @ $65,3xx in 2006...so when you said 68k, I thought CL....I do think any other rims will be easily recognized as aftermarket...

Congrats on your car LS. (White LS430 is my favorite car) Because they made a lot of LS's alot of people like your wife's uncle out there. It's not uncommon to see mileage in the 20k's or even teens. I had a Florida dealer called me on one with 18K miles last week and 23K miles the week before. They are still a lot of them out there. You got a real Gem there especially the 2006 because its the last year of that Gen (Everything updated and all the little issues worked out of it) I think you have the (CL) Custom Luxury Pkg or the (UL) Ultra Pkg. I'll have to see the inside pics to differentiate between the two..

I guess I have to ask what was left to put in a 430 ? What's on UL ? Already has just over 11Gs in options.

and that's Definitely ECRU leather. I had Ecru in my 2005. Ecru is like almost white, like bone white.. To me White/Ecru is perfect combo.. I don't why I'm so excited, it's not even my car..

Take a Pic of the interior, there are switches on the dash that will show if you have air suspension amongst a few other gadgets that will differentiate between CL and Ultra.
