Passenger rear door plug somehow got knocked off. Ordered replacement part 69207-50010-A2. It isn't just the color coded external piece though - it is whole rear handle area that has screw from inside.
See pics below of door and new part.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks

It sucks, but you have to go into the door after the interior panel and weather screen plastic is removed. After that you can fit a small 1/4 inch drive up there with the socket and replace it. You have to be comfortable opening and closing projects like this. If you aren't find someone who can help you. The door steps to get in are the same beginning steps of how to replace a door lock actuator.

All I did was pop the plastic cap off the replacement part then glued it to the silver part already on the car. That was 4 years ago and it's stayed put.

+1 ^ This is exactly what Lexus suggested, and it worked for me too. Carefully pry the edge of the colored plastic (straight side of plastic) off the new replacement part. (See edge of straight portion where it clips to the chrome backing.) Then very carefully swivel the colored plastic piece off a small plastic tab that plugs into a small hole in the chrome backing. Apply a small dab of silicone or outdoor glue to that plastic tab and insert into the chrome piece on the existing chrome piece on the door handle. Done.Originally Posted by 06ls430KTC

Sorry I'm hijacking the thread here but noticed your car. Nice combo of great color, ML and Sports. Have the same w/ Cypress. I'm running Premiers on 17s. Lex ride but soft tire in a corner. I have the stock 18s and want to buy tires. Suggests? If I buy new Michelin Pilots (def more aggressive but supposedly as quiet) and don't like them, can swap for Premiers w/in 30 days. Am looking for a ride that's still Lexus quiet but slightly stiffer in corners. Had a Base w/ the ultra soft Lex ride. The Sports package wasn't on my bucket list but am very pleased with the better handling. Still Lex quiet too.Originally Posted by Randy B
