A while back I bought an ikkegol wifi and dash command for my iPhone. Even with lights on he dash I could never get a code read. It was perplexing. So I want a more effective option.

Have a friend with a vsc light on the dash in an 01 ls400 and I'm reading up here that abregular odb2 may not pull the codes. So is it better to just use techstream? I have a tablet pc so that could be an option.

I know some of these are cheap but I still hate wasting money.
