Dash Rattles
Well, I bit the bullet and had the dealer work on my dash rattles. They had to dismantle the dash twice to do it but it seems better. Nothing seems to line up quite as well on the dash and I am wondering if it was worth it. When I picked up the car, none of the steering wheel controls worked and they had to take it apart again. Oh well, at least it's not rattling. One question - is the slot for putting in cd's light up at night? Mines not but I can't remember if it used to. If someone could check theirs, I would be grateful.
I figured it was going to be the clips that attach the dash to the firewall but they told me that was not the problem. They ended up putting foam in several places until the rattles went away. I'm not really that confident that they won't come back but we will see.
good luck with that. They did that to my car too, it lasted about 2 months and it came back. they have refused to work on it since. Due to the fact that i dont drive on smooth roads is their excuse
I just had a chance to check the invoice. it looks like they also installed the noise kit. Rattles gone for now but I do have a couple new scratches courtesy of the dealership. No surprise.
