Default racing chip

i want to keep my ls430 mostly stock, anyone know if there are chips available to gain HP? this would be the only thing i would do as i dont want to add an exhaust bc it is so quiet which goes along with the luxurious ride but if there is a chip available to gain 20hp or so id do it.

I test drove a 2006 ls430 with 68k miles and bought one with 124k miles. the 68k mile car seemed faster, definitely noticeable so i starting changing the spark plugs. is there anything else needed for a tune up? I'm trying to find the culprit for why my car seems a little bit slower

Errrr - you test drove the lower mile car and bought the higher mile car? You have completed your logical thinking to realize that the higher the mileage, the more susceptible the engine and car are to wear and tear? Your feeling of power in one car but not the other is a seat of the pants feeling - no real science behind it. So best that you think of this as using the opportunity to "baseline" your car.

Replace plugs, filters, oils, coolant, thermostat, TB gasket, coolant sensor, clean MAF. Give the car a service it has never had. And then drive it - you will feel the power has come back.....

coolant should be good as t-belt was done at 98k miles. I put 5w30 mobil 1 synth in. 75w90 synth mobil 1 gear oil in diff, new power steering, just changed all 8 plugs, had to take off the intake to get the passenger 4. engine & cabin filter. You can't clean throttle boddy as it stalls without the intake and vacum hose hooked up and can'r spray TB with cleaner, any tips??? anything else im missing? how often do you change the coils? i may neeed to test all of them. as I feel i am missing a lil power. The lower mileage one I wanted but was double the cost and not worth it.

Again - no science behind your "feeling". You are in pursuit of a fix that has no cause. Coils should not need replacement just because. I'd say you have done enough to date. Drive more, worry less. When the next item fails, you can replace.

There seem to be other chip companies out there that make something for the car. I am personally of the opinion that you do not need any such thing but if you do wish to pursue, you have the opportunity. Let us know the results with a dyno proven number.

Most chips do nothing. As Toyota ecru can't be re programmed. As Toyota keeps it a secret. Thy don't want anyone to play with the prarsmeters. This tipe of chips other fools the ecu or do nothing at all.
Only way to have a custom toon is to use a stand alon ecu.
If I am wrong pls correct me.
I would stay away from chips.

As I understand it, those "chips" are just resistors that you wire in series with (or maybe totally replace?) your water temp sensor.
Result is to tell the ECU that the engine is cold, which richens mixture and creates a perception of increased power.
All kinds of possibilities after that: reduced cat life, reduced mileage,.....who knows?
It's phoney baloney marketing crap for sure; avoid.
