Do a search on this forum. You will find many excellent posts on Spark Plug replacement DIY... You do not need to take out the battery to replace the spark plugs on the passenger-side.

Here's one of Spark Plug DIY's https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...y-details.html

DOCman RKW is correct. There's no need to remove the battery to gain access to the passenger side plugs.

You DO need to remove the airbox/resonator & plumbing though. If I recall, it's a 10mm or 12mm nut that you have to remove while looking straight down at the passenger side of the engine. Just make sure you don't loose the nut because it's almost too long of a reach for you to grab it with your fingers when you remove it. I had a telescoping magnet to make sure I didn't lose/drop it.

You will also need to remove the 2 hose clamps holding on 2 tubes onto the resonator/aribox assembly. They are of a pressure design, and you can use flatbill pliers or possibly even your finger tips to squeeze the clamps back off the connection point, then gently pry the hose off with a flatblade screwdriver and disconnect the hoses.

Finally, once you disconnect those 2 hoses and the nut, you have to loosen 2 phillips head screws acting as hose clamps. One is connecting the air intake to the throttle body. Don't remove the clamp all the way. Just loosen it and you can wrap your whole hand around the air tube and wiggle it off the throttle body/intake. You then remove the other large air tube from your air filter box. Same concept. Once all the above is disconnected, you can angle the entire assembly and lift up and out of the way.

Reinstallation is reverse. Just make sure the large air tubes are fully pushed back onto the airbox and the throttle body, while ensuring the threaded stud is going through the assembly that you previously removed, so that you can place the 10mm or 12mm nut back on.

If you've never done it before, it would be a good time to clean your mass airflow sensor (MAF sensor), ONLY IF you have MAF cleaner. You can see the sensor if you peer into the airbox from the side, after you remove the air intake pipe from the airbox.

All this might sound complicated, but it's not. I personally found the passenger side to actually be EASIER to access and remove and reinstall the plugs, because once you remove all what I've described, there's more room to work and more room to swing your ratchet. Just BE CAREFUL when pulling the COP connector from the COP, or else you'll end up reading my thread called, "Changed plugs now engine shaking!" found here..... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...e-shaking.html

PS....what the heck are you doing changing plugs at 5:26am for!? lol

Good luck!
