Congrats! Mine is a 2002 with 105,500, and i have been in it since 2006 when it had 28,000 on it. I did have to convert the suspension to coil springs when two air struts failed, but other than that....a dream car. I am currently wrestling with selling it just to get something different after 11 years....but I emphasize the word "wrestling" with my decision. I still like it everytime I get in it, and it still drives so darn well (better with the coils and springs), and everything works!

I found a fairly good thread on removing the rear UL seats... I'm more worried about removing all the trim necessary to take the rear deck off to get to the shade. Don't want to mess any of that up. Did just order some Nylon interior tools to replace the plastic ones I had. If the weather is good enough this weekend i'll shoot to do it then.

When I traded my 01 with 140k miles (2 years ago) Lexus dealer in Chicago only offered $3900 trade. I fell in love with an 06 Blue Onyx creampuff with dealer service records every 5k miles at the same dealership it was being sold at. Went to do my first oil change, and discovered the drain plug was barely hanging on. Threads were completely stripped. Told the service manager it had to be them as the car had never been anywhere else. They replaced the oil pan.
Watch out for that air suspension. It probably has been converted at that mileage? Does your height button work?

Long Day of working on the LS430 yesterday since out lease on the apartment will be up soon and it can come out of storage and be driven more often.
took 12 quarts of trans fluid out and put in 12 new clean quarts of Toyota T-IV
Bought some high quality nylon interior tools to take interior panels off and not scratch them since the price of replacements would make me cry. fixed a few bad bulbs in the dash with LEDs. Took apart the center console and fixed a cupholder arm that Andrea had snapped off last year. Pulled apart my drivers side mirror that used to just swing and found out the problem with the motor popping off track and fixed it with a 10 cent piece of heater hose. (saved myself about $350-$500 on the used market for this color) Then took out the rear seats and rear deck to pull out the broken sunshade and replace with a used one I was lucky enough to find. $200 vs $1500 new. That took a ton of time because those rear sets have power head rests, recline, heat, cool, massage, etc... so had a million attachments on them that I had to be super careful with.... add that that two of the side panels are made out of suede I took my time on this one. Had to break the old shade, that was stuck in the up position so I could get to the bolts behind it. But now the trans shifts like butter... will roast the tires with the VSC turned off, and the mirror and shade work perfectly again.
Changed 4 spark plugs also that I had left over from the ones I bought the cruiser.
