Default Shaving rear emblems?

What did everyone else pay for the rear emblems being shaved i was told $300 then soon as he asked what car and i said lexus he said ohh thats extra work its gonna be $500-$600. I feel he is ripping me off hard $300 seems reasonable. I am also wondering if i need to shave them to install the mjk 3 piece spoiler anybody know?

Get more bids. Ask around and get references. Use Yelp and research other shops; call the highly rated ones...

The challenge with Lexus is paint matching; especially if you have a metallic or pearl in the name.....

Just to let anyone know in case they were wondering the shaved emblems is $180, then the painting and installing of the mjk 3 piece spoiler is $200 so $380 for the entire install.

I've shaved emblems on past cars and the amount varies. The higher end Toyota's have registration holes for the emblems. These get welded up and smooth over followed by paint. Painting the whole trunk lid is common. The ones that just have double side sticky tape are easy to remove. At this age dealing with ghosting is a concern as well as getting a good paint match.
