Default What will it cost to replace the tilt /tele motor

05 LS 430. Noticed the return to my setting from the exit mode was hit and miss lately so I've pulled the fuse on the tilt and tele motor. There is a squeak coming from the motor, especially when telescoping. From what I've read so far the motor needs to be replaced . What should I expect in terms of cost and is this a DIY project ?

Each motor is about 300.00. There's a few good install threads on this forum so you can do it yourself in about 2 hours.

Can you play with the wires to manually adjust the tilt to my preference and never adjust again without replacing the motor?

Yes, you can manually turn the motor by turning the worm screw to a desirable position.
