I have only noticed this since I got my car back from the body shop......But body shop aside.........when I start my car in the morning during warm up I am getting a ticking sound every 5 seconds.....it sounds like an exhaust shield getting hot and expanding.......but after a couple of minutes it goes away. I am a perfectionist so this is buggin the crap out of me. It is coming from the drivers side of the engine compartment.....the body work was done on the passenger side of the car...non moving accident...a school bus ran over the front corner of my car in a parking lot Are any of u guys getting a ticking sound during warm up? 2004 LS430

 

Exhaust leak would be my guess. These cars are famous for the heat shield rattle/ pinhole leaks. Jack up the car and turn it on and you should find the source pretty quick
