Mike - did you end up tinting your windshield with Air Blue 80? If you did, how is it? Any pro's and con's?

Sorry about the delay ... to date still no cons with tinting the windshield. About hazing... I have noticed that if u don't clean the windows properly it is very hard to get the oils and residue off. But that applies for all windows. It's really hard to tell if it's clean or not until the sun hits it just right. I did get a rock chip about 2 months after the tint... oddly I never got it patched and the chip never spread. Seems like the tint is somehow keeping it locked. If u look at the original post date you will see I went through most of the summer with that chip and still no issues.

Overall I'm very glad I got this tint. I believe next time I will try the other ceramic film with a more blue presence to it though. It's a clear difference side by side with other Ls430s but I would be ok with a deeper blue for sure. Guess I got used to it and I tend to forget that they are even tinted until my a.c. or heater is on.

 

Love the blue, I got the llumar 35% on my LS when I first got it and I love it. Forgot which one exactly but it was one of the best ones they sell. I want to get llumar on my GS, any idea if they make a blue shade that would be darker %? What is the deeper blue you are referring to? I would like the look that some of the Mercedes have.
