Default Sealed transmission

Does this youtube video explain the sealed transmission in the Lexus?

Also where is the cheapest source of Toyota Transmission fluid?

Yes, the Lexus sealed transmission is similar in design as those on the Toyota. Take a look at this post https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...leak-help.html for some lessons learned.

Check out eBay for the Toyota WS ATF. They run as low as $7 per quart.

Probably not the cheapest, but I've gotten the
4 pack 4 pack
from Amazon a couple of times. Free 2-Day shipping with Amazon Prime.

I misread the Amazon link. I thought it was one qt for $34 but then saw it said 4 pack. Just ordered me a 4 pack.

With the design of the sealed transmission with the tube that sticks up I understand now why people put the front wheels on ramps to drain out some of the fluid.

On our cars seems like a good idea if you are going to do a simple drain and refill to do it with the car "cold". That way assuming both the car and the new quarts of ATF are in the same garage, the ATF in the car is same temp as the new ATF you have in quarts to refill.
