Default battery change

When changing the battery (ls430 ultra), do I need to watch for saving any settings or simply exchange the battery?

Nothing special. It's good to disconnect and reconnect in the proper order. When removing the battery negative then positive. When installing positive then negative.

I can't find it now, but when I was pulling down the wiring diagrams from the Toyota Techinfo site, I remember a bunch of the docs stated you might need to reset the front seat controller after disconnecting the battery and reconnecting. If I can find that procedure I'll attach it here.

I disconnected my battery when I did my clockspring, but didn't have to reset any controllers to get stuff working afterwards.

Default battery change

thanks, that is great
The PO just installed a new battery but I bought a batteryterminal switch where I can disconnect power without removing the terminals.
For that installation I want to work without power on
