I had a similar incident last month. I was on the interstate @ 80 mph with a newer Denali on my bumper. Looked like a young kid driving dads car.

We passed a car on the left and before I had a chance to move back into the right-hand lane Mr. Black Denali tries to pass me on the right. I nailed it, he did his best to still get around me but I was able to merge to the right and I was slowly walking away from him. When I let off it I was at 125, but it was only a few seconds to get there. When I slowed he blew around me on the left---but we BOTH knew....

I always thought my 400 was faster than it should be with only 4.0 liters. Damn that car would pull at 80mph.

I rarely..........almost never feel the urge to race anyone driving my LS430, it just feel so relaxing.

Unless they **** me off by intentionally blocking me from merging in...............a girl did that in her brand new Honda CRV last month, man those things are slow. I thought my LS430 is slow in today's standard, I guess cheap cars are still slower today

 

Lol...You all really don't know your car (Lexus LS430) and Foreign luxury (Flagship) cars for that matter... They are luxury cars, but also designed to be the "true powerful big dogs" on the road. Why do you think Luxury cars cost so much. You get the best of Luxury and Power! A "Slipper" comes to mind...! Your LS430 also has Sport Mode and most wonderful, the Power Mode button!! The LS430 also has an amazing amount of torque!! I would expect it to beat a lot of sport cars including a Chrysler 400C Hemi and Challenger Hemi; I have lol!! Whom ever is allowing their L-E-X-U-S LS430 to be called out by any SUV... WHY??? That's like a billionaire taking the time to outspend a poor man...

 

I agreed wholeheartedly. Although an SUV i wouldn't mess with is a Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

 

Or a Jeep SRT 8...

Really, the video is more something to smile about. A bit of sleeper and people don't expect it to be able to hold its own. The LS 430 is not particularly fast but it's not slow either. Even my little 2.0 turbo is faster then the 4.3 V8 but hardly as comfortable.

 

Lol... I actually have a friend with an '04 Porsche Cayenne Turbo and I have drove/floored it... We'll ignore that one, because it's a Porsche on really big wheels lol!


To Lavrishevo: I wouldn't let a Jeep SRTanything call me out lol! If you believe the LS 430 is anything but a fast force not to be tried, you obviously haven't floored it in sport and power mode, nor taken it up to 130mph... SMH! I'll believe your Subaru is faster when I see it; I think you should see it with your own eyes first, as well lol!

 

Yeah... The 430 in prime condition will do 60 in 6.5 - 7.5 seconds or so and a 14.5 - 15.5 second 1/4 mile. The WRX will do 60 in 5.3 seconds and a 1/4 mile in 13.6 seconds. This is before the tune which gave me another 30 hp and torque so you can imagine. Don't kid yourself. There are plenty of vehicles that will easily beat the 430. The jeep is rated at 60 in 4.6 seconds...

 

This thread made me laugh because I too have beaten a Camaro with my 460. He had pipes on it and thought he was cool trying to mess with me and I left him and quickly pulled away from him. I was laughing my A** off.

Taken a couple other cars as well with it, just wish the limiter wasn't so damn low. Mid east videos show the LS hitting around 175. I'd be happy with even 155.

Great job taking out the Camaro.

 

my 95 Ls400 has a loud muffler so I get tried a lot. its so easy to forget how much power is behind these cars.

yes, I took a 460. but only due to the 130mph limiter. I passed him on the highway around 140. almost blew my car up. wont do that again.
