Default 2003 430 LS base- brake problems

Brake problems. I have to double pump the brakes to get it to stop. Replaced pads front and rear, and Master cylinder. Still has a issue. I read in a post that the calipers can cause a problem/ or one is sticking ? Anyone had this problem ? 137xxx thanks

I've never heard that problem with the LS430 before. The braking mechanism on these cars is second to none.

Sounds like you might have a leak somewhere along the brake line, if you are having to double pump for the breaking to be fully effective. Although I am not sure about that.

Have you tried a nice clean full brake fluid flush?

Sounds like you have air in the system. Did you bleed the brakes properly? Would not hurt to flush out the old fluid when you do this.

As Lavrishevo has mentioned, it is possible there is air in your brake lines. When you had the master cylinder changed, was the brake lines bled? If the brake lines have not been bled, it is advisable that you do get it done. If the problem persists, check the brake lines to make sure they're are no cracks or leaks. If the brake lines are fine, then inspect the calipers. It will either be the sliding pins or the piston that needs to be greased. Make sure the rubber seals are not worn/cracked/damaged in anyway. Hope this helps.
