Yeah, and 90% of what you wrote is totally irrelevant to this thread.
The fix is easy, nobody said it wasn't.
Pointing out the facts that
1. The front strap will fall through unless you are careful and may end up in the undertray
2. The battery tray may need to be removed and the strap reformed to fit
is completely relevant.
