Default Suspension..

My coilovers are about to come in (RSR Black-I) and I was wondering if I needed anything else besides alignment after I lower the car? I am new to the suspension game but after researching, I read that I may need to get: control arm bushings, control arms, camber kit, adjustable camber arms, control arms etc... I am not slamming my car, looking for maybe a 2-3 inch drop depending.. Some say that all I need is alignment after the drop and I am good. Others say I need a camber kit, etc... I use my car as a daily, but only drive it around 6-15 miles a day. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I installed BC's with Swift springs. Didn't need anything of the above.

The car even tracks straight. But I should get an alignment soon.

Depends how you want to set the car up if those parts will be part of achieving the look. If the car has or will have an aggressive wheel-tire fitment then arms and camber is part of that. If going for simple drop with better fitment with stock fenders, then control arms, etc isn't necessary. There will be compromises for the negative camber to deal with. Generally an alignment is sufficient for the range you posted.

If the stock suspension is worn then replacing the worn bushings is a good idea. How many miles on car?

what RA40 said..

In addition tho, you may also need front adjustable tie rods to correct the angle of the arm in correlation to the knuckle. possibly caster bushing or lower RCA to correct caster and add camber.

rear camber is not adjustable on our cars, so you either gotta choose from the 3 OEM links thats available from Lexus or get aftermarket arms.

It's a 2002 LS430 and I just hit 56,500 miles. Yeah, I am going for just a simple drop but I guess it all depends on my wheel set-up as well. If anything I am ok with rolling my fenders if it helps. I am not looking to camber out my car or slam it, so I am hoping that after I install the coilovers, an alignment will be sufficient. Thanks for the help guys!
