Welcome to CL. Is that a turn signal / cornering light on the front fender?

 

Yep, I've seen countless of them. They come OEM like this.

Yes. That is cornering signal light. And front fog light has cornering ligth. This is Japan spec vehicle. Almost all people ride Japan spec in Mongolia.

 

The cornering light on fender, and turn signal light on side mirror covers is becoming the norm here as well. It appears to be a function of the increased volume (congestion) of cars on the roads here in U.S. Japan has always had higher traffic per square mile, so the side cornering light is a safety feature.
