2004 Lexus LS 430 Climate & Audio Control buttons
Primary Issue: The Option, Audio, and Climate buttons are not functioning see photo below for reference. (ANY HELP WITH THIS ISSUE WILL BE VERY APPRECIATED). Buttons don't make a sound, and the screen doesn't change when pressed.
Secondary Issue: The horn is also out.
I mentioned the horn just in case the two are linked, but for now, the dash buttons are my main priority. I haven't checked if the steering wheel controls are affected yet, but I'll test those next.
Use the genuine Toyota part, don’t waste your time with a $25 or $30 eBay counterfeit.
Thanks,
Dale
I'm having the same issue in my 2004. Did you ever find a solution for the three buttons not working?
Another shipment is arriving next week.

After sourcing a donor car and swapping nearly every component in the climate/audio system—screen, head unit, trunk amp, GPS module, and a couple of other modules—with zero improvement, I finally tracked it down.
Everything pointed to a communication issue. While driving, I held the climate button and pressed the steering wheel volume buttons at the same time—and boom, the climate screen popped up. I repeated the same trick with the audio and options buttons, and those screens came back too.
Once I got into the Options screen, I accessed the diagnostics menu and ran Display Check and Panel Switch Check. Every button press was registering as “MULTIPLE”, but if I held a button and tapped the steering wheel volume, the correct input would briefly appear.
At that point, combined with the fact that my horn wasn’t working, it clearly pointed to the clock spring.
Replaced the clock spring—and everything works perfectly now.
