put a set on today and all i can say is WOW!
i removed my four year set of primacy mxv4's with half tread left and the primiers ride so quite and smooth.
the old set didnt ride this nice when they were new,very happy.

 

Thanks for that info. Looking to get some new tires for my girlfriends ES350. This might make the list.

 

I've heard many complaints about tread life on michelins. Keep us informed as you get some miles on them!

Have had a set of Premiers on my 06 430 for 5k. Perfectly silent! Great tire Michelin!

 

I have had Primacy MXV4s on all four corners since 2009. Replaced a pair in 2012, and 2014. The 2012 pair got 47K miles on them, and I received a $62.55 credit toward the new Premier's today.

The Premier's have lived up to their rain handling rating today after I left the shop. Torrential down pours and these did not hydroplane at all.

Looking forward to a long relationship with them, as the Primacy's were very good with me as well.

why do they last longer? why do they????? they are the best just buy them right and they pay for themselves with gas savings and longevity.
when control arm bushings, struts and suspension components wear its the vehicle not always 100% tires but you picked one of the best tires with new technology congratulations

I have a 2004 LS 430- about 6 months ago I replaced my Primacy tires with the Premier. I got about 65k miles out of the Primacy which I think is very good for tread life. I rotate my tires every 5k miles and do a ton of highway driving (about 800 miles/week). So far very happy with the Premier.

 

Please let us know how you do with treadwear. My major concern when reading about the Premier is the significant reduction in tread depth from the Primacy from 11/32nd to 8/32nds with the Premier. Thats fairly significant. I change my tires every time they reach 3/32nds which in the case of the Premier would leave me with 5/32nds of total treadlife. I'm interested to see how they wear. Keep us posted!

 

I have had Primacy MXV4s since 2010. So far 50k miles on them and good amount of tread still left. They are very smooth and still very quiet. Only con is they are starting to have traction issues in the wet - at this point may be less than new tread depth or rubber compound aging. I may spring for fresh tires this spring or next time Costco has $70 off sale on Michelin.

 

The CR tests felt the Evergrip tech virtually eliminated the effects of tread wear and the.silica/sunflower oil compound made tread wear very good.

So you have less weight and a crisper handling tire with shallower tread blocks so there is less tread block squirm versus a deeper 11/12. 32nds treadblock I assume

Why does Lexus continue to make such a highly rated LS? Like.Michelin making goog tires, they just always have. Quiet, many designs to choose from balance out well and wear well

 

Both Michelin dealers and Costco have the $70.00 mail in rebate for four going on right now.

Valid observation & I share this concern. (Premier are exactly 8.5/32nds tread depth new.) Apparently, the rubber composition is harder (which provides a 60K mileage expectancy), but the reduced tread depth (which normally results in reduced traction) is offset by the additional deep tread siping. I'm putting a set of 4 on a Toyota Sienna (at half price due to premature wear on current Michelin Defenders - the van eats up Michelin tires well-before the advertised mileage warranty). My "experiment" with these will soon begin.

 

I've got 10K on my Premiers. Perfect and silent tire! Couldn't be more pleased!
