Let's try to keep the suggestions in the real world.
Maybe start a thread " when I win the Poweball Lottery I'll buy a __________ ."
The Gallardo is completely feasible in my opinion there $40,000-$80,000. Also the other reason I said the Gallardo is they are the LS430 of the super car world they are one of the most reliable maintenance free super cars out there the highest mileage gallardo is at 245xxx I think.
I’ll keep my ls if we are talking same years ish. Strong engine breaks and tranny I drive Er hard every day. Still not a squeak rattle and as springs sag less roll. My Touareg TDIs nice
I'd argue they're absolutely in the real world for a forum dedicated to a car with an MSRP of $60k+...
Not to argue but most people post here now DID NOT buy the car new.
it's almost two decades later and the cars we own are now worth less than the sales tax on a Lambo purchase.
Not many people are going to replace their 20 year old LS with a Lamborghini.
Me too. I'm guessing the mechanical problems, maintenence and repair costs are the only thing stopping us both from buying one lol
They're always understated, which I think appeals to many of us. My uncle was always an Audi aficionado and at one time he had 2 A6's, one was free, one he paid under $2k. Both were about 10 y.o., one Quattro, one FWD. Every time one goes to fix them the front clip needs to come off. He didn't care as he ran a shop and had plenty of room. Once he didn't, well, he dumped both cars, hard to park 4 cars in Brooklyn on the street. The funniest is when he transferred headlamps from one car to the other, depending on what he was driving.
This was before my experience with rebuilding ABS. I went to the junkyard with him and we pulled an ABS pump out of a Passat. Transferred to the A6 but didn't work. If I knew then what I do now, that could have been repaired for $249 by modulemaster.
As to what one would replace the LS430 with? I have an 04 LS430 UL. It has everything, love it. I also have a Mercedes S 430. It also has everything the LS430 has. Some exceptions, but almost everything. I was told the Toyota folks used the Mercedes S class as a pattern and to make it better plus sell it cheaper. I love driving either of them. The Mercedes seems a little bigger but I think the longer hood causes that. Side by side they seem close to the same. I wish Lexus would have used a timing chain rather than what's in there now, other than that, the LS430 stands alone, nothing else like it.
