Default Transmission Fluid Exchange at 115k

I had all of the trans fluid replaced in my '02 UL with approx. 115k last week. The transmission is noticeably smoother. I found out that many Lexus dealers use a Valvoline equivalent rather than T-IV. It took a few calls but I found a dealer happy to use the T-IV if I provided it. No problem, bought a case at the Toyota dealer for about $55 and had the work done.

Lexus Master tech who did the work recommends replacement after 100k, even in '04 to '06 models. I don't mean to take sides in the debate, just throw in my two cents. I am glad I did it.

Dealer charged about $160. I am not sure what you mean by "hang and drained". I presume it means "was it a complete fluid exchange?".

As far as I could tell, yes. He loaded up the machine with about 11 quarts. I have seen the capacity listed as 9.6 quarts for a dry fill. Taking into account spillage, amount left in the machine and hoses it seems about right.
