Default Heater core replacement?

Hi to everyone, I just bought my ls430 couple days go, just found out today my heater core was bypassed, findout by putting water in one of the end "heater was bad" water was leaking over the passage seat,so my question is have any of you replace it, does it requiring pulling the whole dash? any help would be great. thanks

Heater core is a big job. I have never seen a post about one going bad in a 430 so that is strange. In the older lexus models you have to pull the dash so I imagine this is the same. I'd pull the glove box and see if you can access it or see what you are working with. The dealer or private seller did not disclose that? I'd be pissed

Oh, this job REALLY sucks!
Go to Harbor Freight, buy their plug into the cig lighter $19.95 portable heater & turn-on the butt warmers!
Get an extra for the back seat!
Ya need a heater in Hawaii???
Barely need one in San Diego!
