I would like to add Bluetooth to my '02 UL. Any ideas, recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated. The Bluetooth would most likely be used with an iphone and I am open to all systems, whether integrated or non-integrated with my stock ML Nav system. Thank you in advance.

 

hi one of the best is the jabra freeway clips to the visor, good unit but i have had 3 with quality control problems, but when they work and charged its a nice hands free unit

I have the Kinivo BTC450 which has Bluetooth for phone calls and streams music from a smartphone. I use this with a cassette adapter and it works great!

 

See if Grom audio makes one. I installed one in My 3GS and so far so good

 

The Parrot MKi series is particularly compatible with iPhone and is available with an optional interface harness for the LS430. All three MKi systems come with a wireless remote than can be attached to the steering wheel or dash and provide A2DP audio streaming as well as hands free phone capability with audio system mute. The two MKi systems with screens show caller name, song playing and other information. The most expensive one has a little color screen and, if I remember correctly, can show a caller's photo and the album cover associated with a song being played.

Installation is fairly complex even with the interface harness but others on ClubLexus have done it themselves. The MKi series has remarkable background noise suppression. Someone I know from these forums called me while driving on a highway after he installed an MKi9100 in his 99 LS400 and all I could hear was his voice - no background noise at all.
