Default Steering wheel adjustment needed.

I had an alignment done on 04 LS a few months ago but never noticed the steering wheel isn't dead center. It's like 1-2 ticks to the right. The alignment shop that did the alignment wants another $50 to do the adjustment. The car drives straight. Is there a way I can adjust the steering wheel to dead center without messing with my alignment?

NO! Never go to that 'shop' again! LS have steering wheel position sensor, and wheel being off-center (and that's just a really bad alignment job - you can even sue) messes up all kinds of things (safety included).

well u did wait a few months thats why, but had you known that it was off centered the time you picked up the car. they would have done it again til its perfect. sounds like u need another alignment, go to another shop.

To be honest, I never noticed steering wheel is off until I put my car on High setting. Now that I noticed it, it's driving me crazy. You're right, looks like I need another alignment. Live and learn. Next time I'll make sure the steering wheel is dead center.

Haha maybe its inherent to the LS's design because mine too is also about 2 degrees to the right but does drive perfectly straight

Maybe your air struts 1 or more are on its way out and the car isn't completely level on the "high setting" and that's why your wheel is turn to one side.

For US cars the 2005 sticker price for a fully-configured LS430 was $74,124.
The 2006 was higher due to an increase in some of the option/package prices.
