Navigation problem - can't read DVD disk
I took mine out to try and reset (green CORRECT DISC ERROR screen). I realized that I was missing a plug to insert in the BLUE port. Is this supposed to be open??

Thank you, and Merry Christmas!

My 2001 LS340 lost its disk and GPS facility about a month ago. (306,000 miles) I have read this thread top to bottom several times and conclude that parts numbered 86841-0E010 and 86841-50090 are functionally equivalent. Am I correct on this?
I realize that I am about two years late on this question !

On my '02 LS430, there's an error message at start-up: "Unable to read data. Check if map DVD is correct." It's been that way for a few years. I figured the DVD was out-of-date. Today I called the dealer; he quoted me $170 for the latest v 13.1 DVD, to fit Gen. 2/3 readers. Bought it and installed it. Same error message!
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a moderate-cost fix? I can buy another reader on EBay for $300+, but I'm only trying to improve the resale value - I'm trying to sell it.
Thanks for your help!
