Hay i was searching Ebay on anything that might catch my eye and this Dome light pop's up. This is the first time I've seen this one. can anyone shine some light on this one.

Dome light with voice controls? That's pretty neat. Never seen this in any of them when I was shopping ls430s

 

Looks like something that should be equipped in an UL. But I've never seen it before. Maybe it came OEM on the Celsior from Japan.

 

I've never seen it in any of the UL's that I've come across. I wanna know if this will work on the 04-06 models? looks cool but wanna make sure that these buttons will be functional or not.

 

I believe that is from an 01-03 that still had the Lexus link system installed. Most LS430 have that system removed so there are no buttons on the sun glass holder. You can install it in your vehicle but it wont do anything or be of any use.

These are part of the Lexus Link system, an analog system that was discontinued. I had one in my '02 UL. Besides the Lexus Link, the buttons were for an onboard "memo" device that allowed you to record short reminder messages. While it looked cool, they were replaced by Lexus with a plain glasses holder that results in a cleaner look. IMO.
