Default First Lexus Questions

Howdy!

I'm Jerry from Montgomery, Texas and I just got a 2001 Lexus LS 430 with 100,865 miles. It is my dads and will be mine when I start doing real estate.

I have a few questions:

1. How do I fix the right passenger side mirror? It will not fold in all the way. The only way it goes all the way in is if you turn the key off the put the mirror switch to the left and then turn the key on again. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I think someone pushed it in when I when to the car wash.

2. How do you replace the wood that is on the passenger door on the right side? It seems to have a dull look to it. If you need photos please let me know.

3. Lastly were can I get custom fitted all weather Lexus OEM floor mats for the front, rear and trunk of the car? I read the weather tech reviews and they are not favorable at all.

I appreciate any assistance you can offer.

All the Best,
Jerry

Ref wood trim. Don't know why it would look "dull". It's a polyurathene finish. Treat it like your exterior. Might try using rubbing compound to bring it back if top layer is oxidized. If that works, then wax it.

1. Mirror issue - You can buy a new one or check on the site for a thread on cleaning the mirror housing parts. Sewell LExus online parts are the way to go for new OEM parts (you can get a discount by being a member of Clublexus. Ebaymotros may have replacement mirros as well.

2. Check out an interior specialist before you try any rubbing compounds (it may cause more sdamage to the finish); try wood cleaner wipes.

3. Lexus does not offer OEM all weather mats for the LS430 any more. Try after markets as well.

Also, Lexus of South Atlanta beats Sewell pricing on almost everything. It's nice that Sewell is a CL sponsor but I prefer to save money. They are my go to for OEM parts.
