Default 2002 ls 430 extented warranty

Hello, I think I finally found the car I feel is me. In 2005, I traded a 1998 BMW 528ia for a 2002 Infinity Q45 premium, only to trade it two years later for a 2001 BMW 740il. I was going through a failed marriage when I traded my q45; I had to, cause it really was a nice car. My mind was lost, but the 7 series was nice until I noticed sludge in the engine. I had also made the mistake of replacing the audio system, due to a faulty amp, and that ruined the look and also initiated numerous panel problems. I travel through the desert from Las Vegas to California often, and it scared me how the 7 series could blow its radiator connection. I, then traded it for a 2005 Avalon Limited, and for three years, other than brakes and oil changes, it was nice, though sedate. I then hit a curve, and the car never felt the same. The feel was slight, but I could tell, so one evening I hit the internet. I was going back to either the 7 series or the Infinity Q45. The car lot I went to, had a 2002 LS 430 next to the 7 series, and though the Bimmer was nice, the LS had me. Grey exterior with a purple wood and black leather interior, wow! Kind of high miles, and in need of some repairs like side mirrors, front door locks, and cruise control issue, the price was okay for me. Like BMW, I was happy to finally find this Lexus forum, cause the other one rarely explained a problem or solution or even allowed me to post. Okay, now that I've shared some of me, I'll post my question: is there a best extended warranty for lexus? Also, is there a best ipod adapter for the 2002 LS 430 with nav?

My opinion on extended warranty from anyone other than the manufacturer is to RUN AWAY. They will deny coverage, claim previous damage or failure, and do anything in their power to actually pay for a repair in full. You will be thousands of dollars ahead by starting your own extended warranty fund with some money each month to pay for big repairs.

As far as the ipod adapter, do a quick search here and there are several options. I think that Viastech http://www.vaistech.com/site/home.php has the most options although at a price.

Walleyeman, several warranty sales persons have contacted me with their contracts, and like you've mentioned, their contract details leave lots of room for denial of coverage. Though some repairs will be costly out of pocket, I'd be more upset if I was paying the cost of a warranty that won't pay, so I'll do as you mentioned. thanks

The best bet is to buy a reliable car to start with-and you have done that. Assuming the maintenance is up to date, just follow the manual.

Are there companies out there that will warranty a 12 year old car?
