I was confused as well until I actually opened the hood. As soon as you open the hood on the passenger side there is the black plastic grill that runs all across the top part of the car. With the hood open on the passenger side there is a black plastic screw. Unscrew that screw. You'll see it in the the jam that runs on the side. One you have that screw out it life out as a screw and clip. Lift up the part of the black grill and look under it. You can easily see the foam. Mine did actually rub through the paint on the car. You will see it once you lift up the black grill.

There is a TSB on creacking/Popping at plastic windshield locating tabs from factory install... I'd have to look for it but google should pop it up... 2 of the plastic tabs you cut off are under that plastic cover your squeek comes from, fyi.

No lynzoid it was not. I pushed some foam in between the windshield and the dash fabric where they meet. So far no more squeak we will see how long it lasts.

Maybe I am experiencing the TSB viper 6 is talking about. I searched on google but cant find it. Hopefully he knows the number so I can investigate.
