Hi All - original poster here - after driving for 5 days - a few comments:
Likes:
  • exterior and interior design and styling
  • chromes
  • tint
  • sound of ML stereo
  • the rear sun shade is cool
  • enough performance and handling
  • solid, quality flagship feeling
  • walking up to it in the parking lot - it looks bad *** - black, tint and chromes!
  • sight lines

Dont like these tings so much:
  • driver seat feel and padding - feels too hard
  • annoying initial nav I agree screen
  • need to push a nav button to toggle from climate to audio screen
  • opening the trunk lid is heavy and a little funky
its a short list!

I have a few options I know of to help you with some of the don't like category.
For the seat padding which is a pretty common complaint, you can buy new padding from Sewell Lexus website. They offer club Lexus discount.
You may need new trunk struts. I replaced in both of my 430's and it made it easier to lift.
Hope that helps some

Struts are easy to replace...I did the ebay route...for both trunk and hood... cheaper and work great. I think about 40 bucks or something like that... here's a link...
Pretty sure I went with these strong arm versions...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Two-USA-Made-Trunk-Lift-Supports-Shocks-Struts-Arm-Props-Gas-Springs-6415-/400518091070?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ALS430&hash=item5d40bd113e&vxp=mtr
If that's all you found, then you did well.
I know others have ordered new seat padding from lexus and installed and said it makes a difference...
Enjoy the ride...

Hi. No the door won't lock even with inside door switch ? I have to lock with hand. And use key to open ? Only the drivers side. But it was a quirk I used to lower price. I love this baby. Just need my OEM chrome wheels . And new quiet tires. Installed a overlay chrome grille , tinted windows. Thanks guys. Ragger26
