Banging sound and vibration from steering wheel
I hear and slightly feel a banging sound when I go over decent sized bumps. It seems to be coming from part of the steering assembly. The wheel and column feel solid but I can feel the slight vibration coming from the steering wheel.
Any ideas or anyone experiencing the same thing?

I have the same issue. My steering has never been quite right on this car. Lexus replaced my lower control arms it was much improved but the noise is still there.
I replaced the steering bushings when i first got the car.

I had a problem like you stated. It turned out to be a loose alignment nut. Had the nut tightened and alignment and all is good. Everyone kept telling me it was control arm bushings. Not

This is one of the very common problems in the LS430. And it just happens by time.
Th secret to getting it feeling firm and back like OEM again, is to change "a part right behind the steering wheel" ( I'm sorry I don't know the exact name in English, but I'll try to describe it.)
It is located right behind the steering wheel, it connects the steering wheel with the front wheels. It's like an adapter.
It's circular in shape and has about 4 bolts if I remember correctly.
I'm sorry I couldn't provide the name. But I'll be happy to help you more if you PM me.
Good luck!
