I haven't done it myself, but i would guess the rubbing would depend on your offset/rim size and the tire combo you put on.. I would assume its do able since the 04-06's came with the 18 option
I just put 18" Chrome wheels on my 2002 base model. They are 5 spoke chrome wheels. I got them from OE Wheels in Sarasota, FL, through JEGS. Bought new tires from Discount Tire. The tires are Bridgestone Turanza Serenity +. All smooth and quiet, so far. The factory 16's are going to be my winter wheels, with Bridgestone Blizzaks on them.
The 18's are a tiny bit firmer, and make the steering slightly stiffer. Actually what I mean is, just less squirmy than the 16's. by no means harsh or bumpy. Also, very quiet. The 18's are a very natural looking size on our car, not too big, not too small.

on bumpy city roads, the car will definately not ride as smooth on 18" wheels, so you will lose some of the cars luxury. If the offset and tire size are correct, you will have no other issues.
The car will ride firmer on the larger wheels and you may notice slightly crisper steering, depending on the tires you buy.
My car had OEM 18" wheels when I bought it. I loved the look but didn't care for the ride, so now both my summer and winter wheels are 17" and I like it that way.
