Default Interpreting Carfax Crash Ratings

I see a 04 LS ML with 63 k miles down from work and the carfax shows it is a one owner snow bird WI/AZ trade so alot of Hwy miles also. All service work done at Lexus Northshore/Peoria AZ and the t belt done right at 6 years in 010. All new brakes, but "Moderate Damage Hit Another Car". The salesman over the phone say "it was just a bumper ding, we wouldn't lie to you" which may be the case but I can look for tape lines and such but I really just shy away from these Yellow Triangles an don't waste my time and its 20 miles out of my way. This is a Cadillac Chevy Dealer.

How are the reports rated and judged from lack of a better word? Same color as my LS with 193k silver but this one has gray interior so my new gray $16 mats would match. Asking 17K and if anyone has recent auction prices please chime in with any recent reports at Mannheim Etc.. Thanks Warm

If you can take it to a trusted body shop and have them put it up on a lift to check it out. An experienced body repair specialist can usually tell how significant the repairs were, if they affected structure, and if they were done correctly (especially looking underneath the car with a good bright light).
