I recently reset the maintenance light on my 2004 LS 430 after an oil change, and a couple hours later, a very loud static was emitted from the Mark Levinson sound system. Strangely, the radio, cd player, etc were all turned off. The noise will not stop, regardless of whether the radio is on or off. Any idea what this could be? Thanks in advance for any answers.

 

Most likely your amp is toast. Big $ to replace, you can search this forum for amp threads, there was one where there is a link to a company who refurbishes ML amps for $450 if I'm remembering correctly.
