Let me start off by saying I searched, but couldn't find anything relating to my specific issue!
After selling my '07 GS350 and buying a brand new '13 Toyota Tacoma, I just purchased a cheaper '01 Ls430 to take the pain off of not having my GS350 anymore , haha. It has a base system with navi and there is no sound coming from the car. After searching I'm pretty sure I narrowed it down to the factory amp BUT I'm running to an issue that is making me wonder if its the head unit.
On my display when i turn the volume up and down, it doesn't show the volume level, and when I go to change the treble/bass/balance/fade there is no level display change on that either (there's usually a line that goes left/right/up/down). Anyone else run into this? HELP ME OUT!
On my 01 ls430 (no nav) when you change the volume/bass/treble/mid there is no change on the display.
If you have no sound, check the wires on the right side in the trunk. Go under the panel and check to see if they are completed seated. When you start your car do you ever hear a message "The Lexus Link system is...(i forget the rest)?
On the nav system it usually tells you the volume level when you turn it up and down, and im not seeing that display. i have looked in the rear right of the trunk at the amp too...unplugged it and plugged it back in but no luck
