I recently got an 02 model LS 430. It has what I believe to be the most basic option package. I looked in the FAQs to see what was available in that year. The earliest they have for reference is 05 and 06. Is there some way to find out just what was available and what I have?
Base model doesn't have heated seats and rear sunshade.
Premium Package has heated seats and sunshade.
ML package has Navi, ML stereo, heater/cooled seats, rear sunshade.
UL almost every options.
Options: 16", 17" rims, sport suspension for non UL, parking sensors for non UL.
Thanks Yuri:
My 2002 LS 430 has rear heated seats, but no rear shade. The stereo just says Lexus Premium, and has a 6 cd changer. No nav. The car has a Moon Roof.
You have a base model with heated seats. The truly base models are very rare and have Lexus plastic logo instead of heat dials. It wasn't an expensive option so Lexus added it to many base LS', same way as they did with heated/cooled front seat with 04-06 LS models.
Yuri:
My LS has dials for the front seat heat controls and push buttons under the center arm rest cover for the rear. The stereo doesn't say Levinson and there is no nav, so I assume it's not a Mark Levinson. Was the nav was part of the Levinson package? I then have to assume that the heated rear seats and the Moon Roof were the only two options on this car and were not part of a package?
Moonroof was a standard equipment on all LS430's. Your car has heated front and rear seats as the optional equipment.
Navi, heated/cooled front seat and ML stereo is an ML package in 01-03, 04-06 also adds bluetooth and rearview camera. You have Nakamichi sound system.
Yuri:
I am probably wrong, but from my limited research, I was under the impression that the 2004 model LS 430 was the first year to have a Moon Roof standard.
