I'm curious about the color on my car. I don't recall seeing this before. It was probably in plain sight many times but I wasn't looking at that time. I'm new to these cars, but tuned in now, I'll be keeping an eye out! I prefer the silver colors and that would be my first choice if all other considerations were equal. I ended up with a gold car with gold emblems. Is this some kind of package, gold/gold? Were the gold emblems available on other colors? I think this probably dates the car to the early 2000s or even late 90s. What is the most popular color and what is the rarest? Are there any unique / special color packages?
Popular:
Silver on gray/black
Black on Beige/black
Wanted:
Flint Mica on Black
Pearl white on beige/black
Not so rare/popular
Green on whatever interior color
Blue on whatever interior color
Gold on whatever interior color
Burgundy on whatever interior color except burgundy
Rare:
Pearl White on Saddle
Black on Saddle
Burgundy on burgundy (very rare)
White on black.

Thanks CaddyOwner:
I saw that page. It's linked in the FAQs. The links to the brocheurs didn't work for me there. I see the colors chart that references the years offered. I would like to have some idea of what the numbers produced in those colors were. Is there a resource for that?
Thanks Yuri:
I like the pearl white and the silver. Did these come in two tones? I believe I have seen some in the 1st or 2nd gen LS. What about the 3rd gen? The interiors would be harder to spot for color unless you were close enough to the car. Probably less likely in traffic. I like the lighter colors for practical reasons but the dark ones look real good when they are clean.

I haven't seen any resources with the exact numbers yet. That may be something you could by calling Lexus' corporate office. Someone did that for some information on the SC400/SC300 forum once.
One thing I have noticed is that saddle interior seems to be rare on just about any color. I also had a lot of trouble finding LS' with black interiors for a while.
Tom, LS430 does not come in two tone variants like LS400 did.
By the way, I also like light colored leather however it definitely is not practical and shows wear and grime more than black leather.
Saddle interior was available only in 04-06 LS.
You're correct, not all combos were available.

It's more likely "Ivory" - a common and very popular interior color ... easy to keep clean and seems to show wear less than tihe darker leather colors.
Thanks Kansas.
I'm slowly getting a better idea of what I have here. I now think it's a very low optioned base model. Gold ext w gold emblems and ivory int. The stereo must be the base unit (Nakamechi?) it has the 6 CD changer and says Lexus preimum Sound System on it. Heated rear seats and Moon Roof. Without any original documentation, I'm only able to go from the references I get from this resource. Thanks again for the help.
