To the OP. Seriously, it's your father and law. He's had the maintenance, and has the records to prove it? For 3k, that's pretty decent price even with those miles. Let's think about this for a second? You married his daughter, which means she'll always be daddy's little girl. No father wants to upset his daughter, and if he sells you some junk-he'll never be able to live it down with his daughter, no father wants to dissapoint their daughter? Just something to think about? Either way, always keep or try to save a little extra cash just in case you need it for something. It should be like this regardless of what type of vehicle you have...let's call it a "rainy day fund"
