Default Muffler Delete....Yes or No?

Thinking about doing a muffler delete on the LS.

I enjoyed the sound on my 750 after I deleted the mufflers and ran straight pipes to the bumper. I would leave the resonators on, so that it isn't too obnoxious...

Here are two youtube / sound clip videos I found online :

http://youtu.be/BQ-nhfN62oE

http://youtu.be/VR7514fOBok

Anyone else do this before? Doubt this would drone too much, and the videos make it sound nice and low.

Wondering if I should pull the trigger...worst case I can always weld them back on.

To each his own, but I can't see changing the personality of one of the quietest, most serene riding cars ever built.
It just ain't right.

Real sound should come from under the hood. In my S14a you hear the exhaust ALL THE TIME. There are times you just want to relax and enjoy the silence.

But that's just my opinion

Possibly a cd with dragster sounds, all that huge v8 and blower sounds?
Turn up the volume when you feel like it and turn it off when you want tranquility again.

You guys probably didn't even listen to the videos...its not that loud. These cars probably have 4 resonators so its still pretty quiet.

Again, i did it to my 750, but wasn't sure if anyone else did it here. Maybe ill just unbolt the muffler and see if i like the sound

Haven't done it persay but it is what it is its going to be louder. You either like it or don't its going ti be all the time if your worked its to much don't do it if u don't care get it done but you have no switch to change exhaust tone after u do it so make up your mind careful or plan to put it back together when u get bored.

It sounds good! I'd do it, You should just replace the back section so you can swap them out when you want to, save you some time and money...plus if you don't like it you can sell it to someone on the forums lol

Personally I think it sounds great! The muffler delete makes it sound like a muscle car, reminds you that you have a V8

Probably wouldn't touch the rest of the exhaust....never really racing around town, just think a little rumble would be nice

Go for it, you'll know very fast if it suits you or not.

Personally, I had Fox mufflers fitted recently (German brand that also are the manufacturer of Eisenmann), and have decided to take them off.

Exhaust sounds great, it's nice and subtle, but the insulation is so good in these cars (especially with the double pane glass), I can barely hear it unless my windows are open, which is almost never. I think i'm going to go back to stock and sell the exhaust for this reason.
