Default What (if any) leather upgrade do I have?

I drive an LS430 Premium, Mercury Metallic with gray leather.

I am confused about all of the leather trims and upgrades available.

I was under the assumption that I had a leather upgrade, because I didn't think that perforated leather was what came standard, and preforated leather is the only way climate controlled seats will work.

What is Ercu? What is semi-aniline? The seats look the same as mine, even in CL and UL 430s I see. Even the backs/sides of my seats all seem like leather also.

Even if I do have just the "base" leather, wow. It's so creamy and buttery, and of such high quality.

Yeah you have the base leather (I do too in my ML). It's perforated b/c our packages all came with cooled leather (tho not sure why the rear is as well, maybe just for consistency?). The special leather trims should also come with extended leather on the dashboard and door panels. I've been in a UL and CL and the leather quality all feels excellent tho I'm hard pressed to find a huge difference. I think the special leather is prob a little softer (?). I do agree with you, the leather feels superb and is very soft, even in standard form!
